Fostering growth, honoring authenticity and giving you a space to show up for yourself fully.
I am so excited you could make it. Welcome! Please stay as long or as little as you need. There is plenty to explore here – so take your time, see what resonates, and I hope we get the chance to meet very soon!
Get StartedMy name is Alyssa, a coffee shop enthusiast, an avid reader, a lover of coloring books, an adventure seeker, and a proud Disney adult. I specialize in supporting children and adolescents through the use of play-based approaches and have a deep passion for working with anyone navigating trauma, grief and loss, major life transitions, and more!
My goal is to provide a space where you feel safe, supported, and empowered to show up for yourself. Together, we'll work to ensure you feel heard, validated, and equipped to face life's challenges. Therapy with me is affirming, collaborative, and grounded in genuine support. I'm here to walk alongside you as we work together towards what matters to you most!
I work from a core belief that you are the master of your experiences. I value the intuitive truth you hold to create meaningful change in your life. If accessing that wisdom feels too out of reach right now, I will happily help to guide you towards self-understanding. I enjoy using a collaborative approach that is centered on working together. I want to be a therapist that helps you to discover what you need and how to achieve it wholeheartedly. I draw from a strengths-focused approach, with elements from cognitive-behavioral therapy and attachment-based theories.
If you want someone who is direct, will challenge you, and who isn't afraid to be fully human in our space (i.e. I promise not to act like a reaffirming robot!), I could be the therapist for you. I can be quite animated, often found sipping coffee during therapy sessions, and never going to shut you down if all you need during a session is to tell me the latest gossip! Most importantly, we could work great together if you believe in the power of keeping it real, and for me, that includes building a genuine relationship with you.
If you ever need to color, fidget, or make breakfast during our telehealth sessions, please do so! I want to meet you where you are, just as you are. Life never fails to remain busy, and therapy can be difficult to schedule, so I'm honored to hold space in whatever way works best for you. As long as you show up for yourself, I'll be right there with you.
When I am not in therapy sessions, I am most likely working in ABA as an RBT playing the day away or reading with an iced latte close by. On weekends you can find me spending time with my loved ones, trying a new bookstore, watching Marvel movies, or trying another hobby to add to my current running list of a million.
